Uno
de los momentos más emocionantes de la maravillosa película Proyecto Salvación
(basada en uno de mis libros favoritos Proyecto Hail Mary)
es cuando su protagonista femenina se lanza a cantar esta canción en el
karaoke, de forma más que notable, y que le viene a la temática del filme que
ni compuesta a propósito. Y si en un momento en que la Humanidad está a punto
de perecer somos capaces de entonar estos versos, qué no tendremos que hacer
nosotr@s por mucha ola de calor que nos azote. Así que a generar PIB, alegría y
amor… y si es con aire acondicionado, mejor.
Harry Styles (al que
hemos tenido en estas entradas) nace en 1994 en Holmes Chapel (Reino Unido) y tras el divorcio de
sus padres cuando contaba siete años, vivirá con su madre que siempre le ha
apoyado en su carrera musical. En el colegio forma una banda, White Eskimo, que
abandona en 2010 para presentarse al concurso Factor
X. Con otros participantes del programa forma el grupo One Direction que se
comerá las listas en los siguientes años con él como voz principal. En 2017
decide empezar su carrera en solitario con el disco Harry
Styles que contiene temas de impacto como esta Sign of the
Times, número uno en listas inglesas y cuatro en las americanas, y que
venderá más de dos millones de discos. Dos años más tarde lanza Fine Line
que seguirá la senda de éxito con el número uno en Billboard Hot 100 Watermelon Sugar,
Treat People
With Kindness y Adore
You. En 2022 continúa su presencia predominante en las listas inglesas
y norteamericanas con Harry's House que
contendrá esta As It Was que será
número uno en treinta y cinco países y conseguirá numerosos premios Grammy. Cuatro años más tarde ha
publicado su último disco hasta la fecha Kiss
All the Time. Disco, Occasionally donde Aperture
vuelve al número uno en medio mundo, conteniendo también American
Girls.
La
letra pide a quien quiera escuchar que acepten que la vida tiene momentos
apocalípticos de los que al final se sale, como ha pasado siempre, por lo que
menos lágrimas y más tirar para adelante.
La
música arranca que con un ritmo solemne de piano que da paso a la voz aguda del
solista que llega al falsete para subir con fuerza con el bajo, la guitarra, la
percusión y la sección de cuerda. El final se torna épico con el apoyo de los
coros.
